On 25 October 2025 at 5:00 PM, at the Activity Lawn, Ground Floor, Phra Visutthathibodi (Boonlert Tattasuddhi) International Student Dormitory Building A, a Buddhist prayer ceremony was held by international students. The ceremony was presided over by Phra Maharachan Jittapalo, Ph.D., Assistant to the Rector for Student Affairs, who assigned Phra Mahakantaphat Sumedho, General Administration Officer, as the presiding monk, together with Phra Khunakon Piyajaro, General Administration Officer, Phra Rames Rawiwan̄so, Student Religious Affairs Officer, and Ven. Phra Tipon Barua, President of the Bangladesh Student Council. They jointly chanted Buddhist scriptures to offer royal merit in tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, who has passed away and ascended to heaven.
In this significant ceremony, the presiding monk led the monastic community in chanting the Dhammaniyama Sutta and practicing meditation for 93 seconds, in profound remembrance of Her Majesty’s boundless royal grace. Her Majesty’s benevolence has greatly benefited the Thai people and the global community, especially through her tireless dedication to the promotion of Buddhism and education. Throughout her life, she served as the Supreme Patroness of the Buddhist Sangha, providing unwavering support to monks and novice monks.
